The Chapelle Imperial stores the tombs of the Bonaparte family, minus that of Napoleon himself. Napoleon III, Napoleon's nephew built the Chapelle Imperial in the Renaissance-style in 1857. The crucifix that adorns the main altar of the Chapelle Imperial was taken from Egypt in 1798 during the general's campaign.
