You will be picked up at your hotel and taken to Luxor Temple, dedicated to the god of Thebes, Amon. The Temple was built during the reign of Amenhotep III and expanded by Ramses II, who also erected two obelisks. One remains in the temple, the other stands in the Place de la Concorde in Paris. Karnak is a vast complex of temples, obelisks, colonnades and sanctuaries. With 134 columns, the Hypostyle Hall alone covers 50,000 square feet!
