On the West Bank of Qena about 60 km. north of Luxor, Dendera is home of the Temple of Dendera. The Temple is one of the Greco-Roman temples for the worship of goddess Hathor. Built by King Ptolemy III and its constructions was completed by the Roman Emperors. The ceiling of the hypostyle room has an astronomic decorations with the symbolic representation of the sky.
