The construction of this museum in Aswan is a great success of international cooperation. UNESCO supported the monument to save the monuments of Nubia.

The museum houses three thousand artifacts representing vartious archaiological periods throughout the history of Egypt. These periods include: Prehistoric, Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Coptic and Islamic.
