Travel in San Jose
The capital city of Costa Rica, San José is a bustling city with over 1.3 million residents. Two thirds of the nation’s population lives in the greater San José metropolitan area. The city is cool, averaging around 70 degrees year round. Although compared to the rest of the country San José holds little natural beauty (and is referred to by some as “The Big Ugly”), it does have some redeeming attractions listed below. Since almost all international flights arrive in San José, chances are you will be spending some time here. We’d like to share with you some of the do’s and don’ts of this city, to make sure your stay is a pleasant one.
