Fall of Atlantis Fountain Show

Fall of Atlantis Fountain Show Approx. Time: 2 hours
Activity Level: Easiest

The Fall of Atlantis fountain show, located between the Cheesecake Factory and Race for Atlantis, is one of Vegas' best-attended attractions, and rightly so -- it's free. As the children of Atlas fight for control of Atlantis, the animatronic figures come to life in this dazzling, high-tech production. But the Gods have another idea -- the skies part, fire rains down and a 20-foot winged beast watches over the destruction. The luminescent show is enhanced by the surrounding monitors, which make it easy for all to see. The show begins promptly on the hour, but don't despair if when you arrive you have to stand behind a mob of people -- you'll still be able to see. The show's end tries to usher you into the adjacent Race for Atlantis. Instead, save your money and watch the tropical puffers, flounder and sharks (25 families of fish in all) in the 50,000-gallon salt water aquarium. Tours of the aquarium's facilties are offered Monday through Friday at 1:15 and 5:15 p.m.; the fish are fed at 3:15 and 7:15 p.m. daily. The Festival Fountain show, featuring an animatronic discussion between Bacchus, Venus, Apollo and Plutus on the opposite end of the Forum Shops, near the Sweet Factory, is closed due to construction.
