A full (and long) day drive on the famous "Train of the Clouds". Leave Salta on board the legendary Train to reach San Antonio de los Cobres (at 12500 ft) through breathtaking canyons (Quebrada del Toro). Visit the small village, and drive through the "La Polvorilla Viaduct", the highest railroad of the Americas (formerly a commercial train to the Pacific coast) and a wonderful piece of engineer work. At San Antonio de los Cobres, leave the train and return to Salta in a comfortable van. Stop on the way to visit the ruins at Santa Rosa de Tastil, which was the largest pre-Inca city in the country.
